Beck Burnette shot a 68-68-70 (206) to finish ten-under winning the Saint Leo Invitational this week and earning him Gulf South Conference player of the week honors. Burnette finished one stroke ahead of the second place finisher.
The No. 5 Lee men's golf team started the 2023 Spring Season in style with a four-stroke victory over host Nova Southeastern at the Saint Leo Invitational. At the Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club on Tuesday, Beck Burnette paced the Flames leading to his fifth career victory. The Flames have now won back-to-back tournaments at the Saint Leo Invitational. It is also back-to-back-wins on the season as the Flames won their final tournament in 2022.
The Flames will return to action March 5-7 at the Las Vegas Desert Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada.
