From now until Jan. 2, the Carson-Newman Athletic Communications Department will debut the Frosty Award nominees for the fall semester.  These are the fall nominees for Female Freshman of the Year. Wednesday, we'll unveil the candidates for Upset of the Year. 

The 10th annual Frosty Awards will take place May 2 and honor athletic excellence in Carson-Newman's athletic department.

Grace Lathrop (XC) Grace Lathrop earned a top-30 result in each of her three races before an unlucky injury ended her season prematurely. In her first race, Lathrop finished as the top Eagle earning 11th place with a time of 19:59.1 in the 5K race. Lathrop followed up that performance two weeks later where she earned another 11th place finish at the Golden Eagle Invitational. In her final race of the season, Lathrop finished 26th with a time of 19:33.24 in the 5K race.

Molly Langford (VB): Langford played in 22 matches for the South Atlantic Conference's Mountain Division Champions tallying 1.35 kills per set on a .149 hitting percentage. She piled up a season-high eight kills in a sweep of Newberry on Sept. 23 and turned around to post a .438 hitting percentage with seven smashes the next day in a sweep of Anderson.

Felicia Frick (WSOC): Frick was named to the South Atlantic All-Conference Third team. The midfielder scored two goals, both of which were penalty kicks. Her lone assist of the season came in a 6-0 win over Emory & Henry on Sept 21. She started and played in all 16 of C-N's regular season games. Her 1,329 minutes played this season was second-most on the team

Laura Germes (WSOC): Germes was C-N's starting goalkeeper in 16 of the 17 matches this season. She made 44 saves, and posted a 0.93 goals against average mark. She helped lead C-N to four clean sheets this season, three of which came in conference play. Germes made a career high seven saves in a 1-1 draw with #8 Catawba on Oct. 15. 

Selina Jud (WSOC): The midfielder played in 16 games, making 11 starts in her first year with the Eagles. She scored three goals, all of which came in a two-game stretch. Along with her three goals scored, she also recorded two assists. Jud was an efficient shooter, with 12 of her 24 shots on target.
