The men’s indoor track and field program competed in their second meet of the season, but the first meet of the 2023 year on Friday. The team traveled to compete at the Indiana Tech Invite. The team had a number of top-ten finishes at the meet, including an NAIA “A” standard mark.

NAIA “A” Standard

Tevon Shuler hit the NAIA “A” standard in the Triple Jump. The mark of 14.26m not only qualified him for the NAIA National Indoor Championship Meet, but it also gave him second place overall in the event at the meet. Shuler is currently ranked No. 21 in the NAIA in the event.

Top Ten Finishes

KeAndrae Campbell finished third in the 200m Dash with a time of 22.38 while Eli Cox was eighth in the 1000m race with a time of 2:41.11. A time of 9:05.13 gave Daniel Greene ninth place in the 3000m race.

In the 4x400m Relay, the team of Cameron Williams, Shuler, Campbell, and Roni Bailey completed the relay race in a time of 3:26.78. The time gave them fourth place.

On the field side, Shelton Milne had a top-five finish, nabbing fifth place with a mark of 1.88m. Along with Shuler, Bailey had a top-ten finish in the Triple Jump, hitting a mark of 13.01 for fifth place. A mark of 15.47m in the Weight Throw placed Jeremiah Sullivan in seventh place.
