United Way of Greater Nashville Raise Your Hand Tutoring Program (RYH) is a free academic intervention program for students reading below their grade-level.
What We DoThe Raise Your Hand Tutoring Program partners with administrators and teachers to implement tutoring sessions in participating schools. RYH increases literacy rates by forming a classroom partnerships with volunteer tutors and teachers for each student. We work together with communities to provide tutoring services to children grades 1-8 in five districts. One of the districts that we are partnered with is Robertson County Schools. We are looking to provide tutors for children in Robertson County Schools as part of the Raise Your Hand Tutoring Program. This opportunity would be able to provide community service to individuals that would like to volunteer be a part of the Raise Your Hand Tutoring Program. Volunteers will be matched with schools according to their availability.
