Census Bureau: More women than men in Charlotte in 2019

Of the 1,736 people living in Charlotte in 2019, 51 percent (886) were women and 49 percent (850) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the NC Tennessee News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 643-to-588. In the 65 and over age range, there were 87 females and 66 males.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau's American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
