Montgomery County Judges Sharon Massey-Grimes and Katy Olita hosted a joyous National Adoption Month Celebration in courtroom 404 today as Danny and Jaimie West adopted Mahala into their family. This is the second adoption for this family, who previously adopted Ellis. They have been serving children through foster care for several years.
At the ceremony’s closing, Judge Massey-Grimes advocated for children sharing that there is a great need for adoption and foster care.
Congratulations to the West Family, the many families in our community who chose to bestow the love of family on a child, and the children who have been a part of this beautiful act.
