On Sunday, March 1, at 1:30 p.m., former Creek Wood High School standout Elizabeth Martin and the Lipscomb Bison were defeated 5-3 by the Southern Illinois Salukis in an NCAA Division I softball game.

The matchup was held at Draper Diamond. This was the first contest between the Bison and the Salukis this season.

Martin pitched four innings, giving up two earned runs, walking three and striking out two.

The Bison are set to play their next game Wednesday, March 4, at 5 p.m. at Draper Diamond against the Chattanooga Mocs.
