Elizabeth Martin competes as Lipscomb faces Western Carolina in Division I softball showdown

At 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, Elizabeth Martin, a former Creek Wood High School star, joined her Lipscomb Bison teammates as they took a 5-3 defeat against the Western Carolina Catamounts in NCAA Division I softball.

The contest was held at Draper Diamond and marked the second time this season the Bison played the Catamounts. In their earlier meeting on Friday, Feb. 27, Lipscomb lost 4-3.

Martin pitched for 5.2 innings, giving up five earned runs while tallying one walk and one strikeout.

The Bison’s next contest is set for Saturday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m. at Draper Diamond against the Purdue Boilermakers.
