It’s that time of year again. We are currently taking applications for this year’s Citizens police Academy.

The mission of the Citizen Police Academy is to foster a better understanding between citizens and police through education. The Academy will promote better understanding to the attendees so they may possess greater insight into police practices and the services that we provide. Graduates of the Citizen Police Academy can share knowledge and experiences with their community as opportunity arises. Everyone can benefit from enhancing citizen and community understanding of the role and function of their police department.

This is not a certification class or a reserve program. The class is designed to be an informative look behind the curtain to show what the police department does on a daily basis. Classes are going to be on Wednesday nights starting March 1st from 6:30 to 8:30pm. The application can be found below.
