At 9:12 AM the Cheatham County 911 call center received a telephone call from a citizen concerning a possible explosive device found at a residence on Valley View Road in Joelton TN. 

As is their protocol they notified the Cheatham County Emergency Management Agency who then contacted the Tennessee Highway Patrol Bomb Unit who responded to the scene. 

The Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist with security of during incident.

As we have been informed at this time, this incident is being investigated by the Tennessee Highway Patrol and the ATF. 

If any further information becomes available this release will be updated to reflect the most current information provided at that time.
